Sadly the Dakar didn't spend long enough with Whele to gain its plate and official place in the immortal ranks of Wheledom. Here it is, resting on a Devon ride out; and a picture of the BMW off-road school where the f650 Dakar began life. It seemed to attract excitement and drama. Once away from Wales it longed to get back off road and finally drove up an alley on its own after Whele had been thrown off when a car did an unannounced U turn in front of him.
